James & Mandi Tinker have been creating handmade artisan beads and jewelry since 2002 when they first opened a business. James began making pottery in 1991.  Their work has been featured in the national publication Step by Step Beads.  They have been featured in a full page color article in the Sunday Jonesboro Sun. They were the front cover of the local “Stars” magazine.  The have been mentioned in other publications as well as numerous blogs.  Their work has been featured multiple times on the front page of www.etsy.com, a website with millions of users. Their creations have been sold around the world & used by many wonderful jewelry designers, some of whom design for celebrity clients. Their pottery and jewelry can be purchased at their store, Black River Beads and Pottery located in Pocahontas, AR.  It can also be found at gift shops in Arkansas. Their lampwork bead creations can be found in Handmade Jewelry around the world.  For their handmade glass creations they use Italian glass, and also explore creating with German, American, & Czech glass, as well as Borosilicate Glass.  Their specialties include:  Silver Lined Large Hole Beads for Designer Bracelets, Organic Beads, Use of Fine Silver, Making and Applying Latticino, Stringer and Dot Application, Encasing, Working Off Mandrel, Glass Manipulation, and other Advanced Techniques. James has studied glass with Tom & Sage Holland, premier glass bead makers that teach throughout the country and world.
Their Pottery is high quality and durable, made with lead free food safe glazes.  It can be cleaned in the dishwasher and is also safe to use in the microwave.  It is created in their in store studio with a wide selection of glazes and textures available.
